A leading corporate group from the food processing industry wanted to strengthen its competitive advantages and decided to integrate and modernize its sales-promoting service. The advisers of SIGEM Business Consulting restructured the organization of business operation in the previous project. The client then showed the need for a precise definition of the needs of information support of the sales-promoting function which will, in its new form, enable the automation of business operation on field and a faster transfer of information from the market to decision-making working places of the company. The purpose was to prepare the group for an intense competitive struggle which was expected from the company’s management in a short-term period.

Project goals and tasks of SIGEM Business Consulting
Basic goals of the project: Definition of contents for the realization of information support of the sales-promoting function of the corporate group.
Operational goals and tasks: Definition of results of the previous reorganization project of the sales-promoting function of the corporate group that concern the definition of processes and activities of common promotion of promoters of two companies up to the level necessary for the realization of the CRM project of the whole group / Adjustment of project values for the optimization of sales function of two companies to the requirements of a later connection of promoters of the rest of the group’s companies / The operator will give his/her expert opinion regarding the harmonization of the information system for supporting the sales-promoting function of the group.

Solution of SIGEM Business Consulting
The advisers of SIGEM Business Consulting began on the basis of the results of the previous project, where the previously separated sales-promoting organizations were integrated, to precisely define all activities the promoters will perform on field in the future. On the level of individual tasks, the advisers defined the needs for information for planning, realization, and information and formed data contents of all documents that are being created or transfer through the processes of sale and promotion for each position. Final results were precisely defined functional needs for information support of each activity and the description of three key information systems which will ensure this functionality. On the basis of the results of this project, the client was able to invite potential operators of the project of information support of the sales-promoting function of the corporate group into the company and provide them with all the information necessary for an immediate beginning of IT support implementation.
